BEVELYN H. BRODBER, FCA, MBA
ASSOCIATE
A Chartered Accountant, Practising Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ); and a Registered Public Accountant(RPA) who holds an Executive Masters of Business Administration (Marketing) degree. Bevlyn is an efficient, effective and progressive manager with broad-based experience in financial and general management; project planning, execution and evaluation; and business consulting.
She completed two contracts with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica as Technical Project Manager. One contract was for an Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) funded project, which was established to train accountants and other stakeholders in international accounting and auditing standards. The Project included a train-the-trainer programme, which sought to develop a cadre of national trainers. The other contract was for a European Union funded project, established to mount a series of intense training for licensed practitioners nationally in readiness for the programme of Practice Monitoring.
She has experience in executive management in both the private and public sectors having held senior positions in various entities ranging from major utilities to manufacturing, wholesale and retail, and she has lectured at CAST and UWI.
Her consulting experience includes the application of strategic planning and corporate development, project development planning execution and appraisal, new business development, revenue enhancement and collection schemes, diagnostic/analytical reviews, cost/benefit analyses, marketing techniques, job evaluation and salary administration, to entities in telecommunications, utilities tourism, food, housing, advertising, and consumer services.
Areas of expertise also include systems design development and implementation; financial analysis; feasibility studies; project planning and monitoring; risk assessment; strategic planning, management and statutory audits; organization re-engineering and redevelopment; marketing and market research.
Mrs Brodber was supervisor on two Credit Union forensic investigation assignments. A natural and experienced leader, with excellent interpersonal and training skills, she effectively and efficiently harnessed the resources of the teams towards successful completion of these assignments.
